For that first week of the month from Wednesday, May 3 through Tuesday, May 9, Hopdoddy Burger Bar is offering its seven layer loaded fries, which come topped with black beans, bacon, cheese, queso, guacamole, and more, served with either two small frozen margaritas or Mexican Cokes. The South Austin Tex-Mex spot Guero’s is hosting a party in its Oak Garden, along with Cazadores Tequila, which means food and drink specials. Hours to be announced. (1412 South Congress Avenue)
Zero-waste grocery store In.gredients’s First Friday Block Party takes on Cinco de Mayo where one percent of the day's proceeds will go towards the Workers Defense Project. There will be micheladas and ciders from Argus Cidery, all from 6 to 9 p.m.(2610 Manor Road, East Austin)
Rolled tacos are on deck for Haymaker’s party, along with $2 frozen margaritas and $3 boozy sno cones (non-alcoholic ones are free), and giveaways. Hours to be announced. (2310 Manor Road, Cherrywood) - More info here!
