It's that time again! In this issue of agent Q&A we sit down with Renee Giroux and are excited about sharing with you more about why she's a fabulous part of the Kent Redding Team.
What is a trait/tool you posses that you didn't know you would use in Real Estate?
I was a nurse for a very long time. People said it was a natural fit for Austin Texas Real Estate. I was not convinced. Turns out, yes. That is true. The role of an advocate, and fiduciary is almost the exact same. The need to educate, and assess peoples needs based on what they tell you, but also what they don't say. The ability to use all the data to make a judgement in split seconds. All of those (in my mind) uniquely nursing skills have been surprisingly used daily in Real Estate.
What is your Real Estate Niche?
I love building relationships. It really is less about my Niche. I am fairly focused on the Northern areas from Northwest Hills to North of Georgetown, and all the suburbs in between. I also sell Lake Travis a ton. That is where we live, and it is very easy to explain way. It is a different kind of lifestyle, and I find a lot of people looking for that kind of thing. I mostly enjoy working with people and engaging the mission to find their perfect home.
What are the top 3 places you would suggest an out-of-town client see/eat while in Austin?
Lake Travis. Did I mention I have a genuine love of Lake Travis? The Capital, although very "destinationy" tons of locals have never been. It is very beautiful, and just oozes with history, and Texasness. If you can ever swing it during the Texas Book Festival, which is held on the grounds of the Capital, its remarkable. They block the streets, you can eat on the lawn, and have very open access to the buildings. Its a great way to spend a fall afternoon in Austin (if you are not able to be at the lake, of course.)
Sheese then there are so many cool things. Barton Springs and Zilker park are super. A dinner cruise to watch the bats on S. Congress, also super cool. Sixth street, if you're fun like that. The shopping on Lamar, or SoCo, or hmm tough to narrow Austin down to just three things.
Any hidden talents other than being a Rock Star Real Estate agent?
I can stand on my head. Not sure that is particularly useful.
What's your greatest source of joy?
My beautiful family.
