For the uninitiated, this unique twist on Valentine's Day took hold after an episode of the television show "Parks & Recreation" in which the main character created the alternate holiday designed to celebrate the joys of female friendship. All Cover 3 locations in and around Austin along with Cover 2 venues will be offering fun specials designed not only to celebrate the upcoming day devoted to love, but also ancillary Galentine's Day and Singles Awareness Day holidays taking place on Feb. 13 and Feb. 15, respectively.


The day prior to Valentine's Day on February 13, ladies across Central Texas are invited to celebrate their female-friendships at COVER 3 in honor of Galentine's Day. From 4pm to close (10pm) COVER 3 will offer patrons half-price bottles of wine from Rodney Strong, which has previously been awarded the title of "American Winery of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Please be aware that this special is only available at COVER 3 (not COVER 2).

*NOTE: This unique holiday was in fact started in 2010 thanks to NBC's "Parks & Recreation" TV show in which the beloved character Leslie Knope created a new holiday that celebrates the joys of female friendship. COVER 3 & COVER 2 will offer patrons a complimentary glass of champagne paired with chocolate dipped strawberries along with the purchase of two entrées or sandwiches, such as the filet mignon or blackened snapper with fresh blue crab, and two beverages.
COVER 3 & COVER 2 are also inviting those who are without a romantic partner for Valentine's Day to celebrate their independence and enjoy a delicious single-serving brownie made in-house daily from scratch (topped with vanilla bean ice cream, homemade chocolate and caramel sauces and candied walnuts) served complimentary with the purchase of an entrée or sandwich on Single's Awareness Day on Thursday, 2/15, the day after Valentine's Day.
