Thanks to the booming Real Estate market here in Austin, Guthrie Lumber, along with several other businesses in the decided to sell just in time to capitalize on prices while they are at the top of the market. This is excellent news because it means that Austin will continue to have a steady supply of homes to keep up with its growing population.
Excited About East Austin
With the booming growth of the Austin Real Estate market many developers are beginning to look at all areas in Austin TX as potential sites for development and the East Austin area has been on the “radar” of many developers for some time.
“We’ve been a big believer in East Austin for quite some time and what drew us to this site is the untapped potential with a big available parcel,” said John Burnham, Argyle’s managing director.

The Guthrie will a project to watch over the next year as the area is clearly different than other parts of Austin and you can bet that it will attract a wide variety of people since most of this area is still heavily wooded and “country” while still being close to the hustle and bustle of the city.
