Summer is here in Austin Texas and one of the coolest things to do during the summer is to see a movie screened by the Alamo Draft House because, they always come up with cool ways to show cool movies.

One of our favorite movies to see from the Alamo Draft House is Jaws on the Water because they screen Jaw’s next to a body of water and let attendees watch it while floating on an inner tube.

The Shallows

This summer the Alamo Draft House is continuing with their killer shark concept by showing a screening of “The Shallows”, a new horror movie featuring Blake Lively who plays a surfer that has to outsmart a great white shark if she wants to stay alive.

Yes, even though you could easily see this movie in the theaters, there’s no better way than to see a killer shark movie while floating on a body of water. J

When to See It

If you want to see the Alamo Draft House’s screening of the Shallows it’s going to happen on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 from 5:30 to 11:00 pm at Next Level Ride in Del Valle, Texas (near Austin).

What’s even cooler about this event is that attendees will be able to be a part of themed events before seeing the movie, including order delicious food from Austin food trucks, enjoy a beer (or two) from Lone Star Beer Garden and hang out with cool people who love movies.

About The Shallows

The Shallows was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, he’s well-known for directing the hit 2009 movie Orphan and his style of directing will be sure to keep you on the edge of your inner tube while watching this movie  so this is an event that you don’t want to miss if you’re serious about experiencing a great way to see movies in Austin Texas.
