Margaret Scharold - Business Manager/Realtor
Margaret's love of houses began at an early age watching her mother restore a Queen Anne Victorian mansion from 1883 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Many years later and after hundreds of toured homes, Margaret's parents built a stunning Italianate house replicating the glory of the 1860s in Houston. They now live in a Creole raised plantation house, a design from the early 1800’s, adapted to the Texas hill country. It was the planning work for these houses that entailed traveling back in time that gave Margaret her love of residential architecture. According to Margaret, "Houses have stories just like people do – and each is unique. I am here to help integrate people into a house's story – whether someone is joining the story or moving on."
Margaret has over fifteen years of experience driving marketing communications programs and managing projects for clients in the automotive, banking, education, energy, insurance, healthcare, oil & gas, real estate, tech, and non-profit industries with an emphasis in branding, strategic planning and web content. Her advertising agency and corporate client-side experience has given her a well-rounded perspective into the needs of consumers and businesses. She now leverages this experience to positioning homes properly in the Austin marketplace. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts in Mass Communications/Advertising from the University of Florida.
