Born and raised in west Austin, Clift is a sixth-generation Austinite and has lived in southwest Austin since 1997. During his time off, you will find Clift on the tennis court, local athletic club, volunteering at church, and spending time at his family ranch outside of Dripping Springs.

"I met Clift over 20 years ago when we were both involved in several civic organizations in Austin. "I met Clift through a financial consultant and shared with him that I had consciously been working on reducing my debt and was ready to purchase a home. I work in Marble Falls and feel comfortable commuting 45 minutes each way so I could pretty much live in north Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, or Georgetown. Clift and I set out to look at homes several times in many neighborhoods. My twin sister traveled with us once and she helped me fine tune my search to the Georgetown area. I fell in love with a small, older home located only 1 ½ blocks of Clift’s great-grandparents home in Georgetown and actually went under contract on the home. Unfortunately reality set in after the Home Inspection and Clift worked with me to determine the home needed a lot of structural, plumbing, and electrical work way before I could consider some cute, cosmetic updates. Well, I ended up purchasing a newer home in a master plan quaint neighborhood within walking distance of San Gabriel Park. Yes, it was a learning curve; but Clift carried me through the process and I am thrilled with the end result!"
