The Rebekah Baines Johnson (RBJ) Center is one of the most well-known buildings in Austin.

It’s been a part of the city since 1972, and it’s not hard to know a friend or loved one who stayed there during the later years of their life.

Over the years the RBJ Center has been a major asset to the Austin community but with a growing Baby Boomer population on fixed incomes the time has come to redevelop the RBJ Center so that Austin can offer more affordable housing options to the elderly.

About the RBJ Center

The RBJ Center tower has 16 stories, with 250 apartments: 112 efficiency units (approx. 400 sq. ft) and 138 one-bedrooms (approx. 650 sq. ft).
